The following is a list of projects realized in ENGL5365:
Program Director Interview: the student synchronously or asynchronously interviews a writing program or a writing center director. Focal interview themes are the scope of the program, the responsibilities of the director, short and long term challenges, major accomplishments, training, and evaluation.
The student then writes a 1500 to 2000 word report of his or her findings with an abstract.
Assignment due on Thursday, June 30th, 2011
Final Project Proposal: the student writes a 1000 to 1200 word proposal for one's final project. The proposal should outline the major parts, a task-based timeline including an IRB if needed.
Assignment due on Saturday, July 16th, 2011
Final Project: the student produces 15 to 20 page long paper (exclusive of visuals, appendices, etc). A ten minute presentation on the paper takes place on the final day of class.
